1. About Dubbo Tree Services
Dubbo Tree Services provides professional tree removal, stump grinding, arborist, and related tree services across Dubbo and the Orana region of NSW, including Delroy Park, Brocklehurst, Keswick, South Dubbo. These Terms of Service govern all work arranged or carried out by Dubbo Tree Services for residential and commercial clients.
By requesting a quote, accepting a quote, or engaging us to perform work, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you have questions about these terms before proceeding, please contact us.
2. Quotes and Fixed Pricing
All quotes provided by Dubbo Tree Services are free of charge and based on a site inspection of the work required at your Dubbo or Orana property. Our quotes represent a fixed price for the specific scope of work described — we do not use hourly rates that can blow out unexpectedly.
If additional work is discovered during the job that was not included in the original scope, we will stop, advise you, and obtain your written or verbal approval before proceeding. No additional work will be carried out without your agreement. All prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, changes in fuel costs, disposal rates, or crew availability may affect pricing. We will reconfirm pricing before proceeding on any quote older than 30 days.
3. Insurance
Dubbo Tree Services carries $20 million in public liability insurance on all tree service work carried out across Dubbo and the Orana. We will provide our certificate of currency on request — before any work begins if you prefer.
All team members and subcontractors working on Dubbo Tree Services jobs are covered under our policy for the duration of the work. If you sustain damage to your property or a third party property in connection with our work, you should report it to us immediately while the crew is still on-site where possible.
4. Council Permits and Arborist Reports
Dubbo Regional Council requires a permit for the removal of most significant trees across Dubbo. Dubbo Tree Services will advise you at the time of quoting whether your tree is likely to require council approval, and can manage the permit application process on your behalf.
Permit application fees charged by Dubbo Regional Council are a pass-through cost. We are not responsible for delays in council processing times, and we cannot proceed with removal until required permits are granted. If a permit is refused, you remain responsible for any inspection fees incurred in preparing the application.
Arborist reports prepared by our qualified arborists for council submissions or other purposes are priced separately to removal work and are available on request.
5. Workmanship Warranty
We warrant all workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This covers defects in the manner in which the work was performed, not normal outcomes of tree removal (for example, stump regrowth from roots not included in the quoted scope). If you have concerns about our workmanship, contact us and we will attend and assess at no charge within the warranty period.
Equipment and materials supplied as part of our services carry the manufacturer's warranty in addition to our workmanship warranty.
6. Access, Safety, and Site Conditions
You agree to provide our crew with safe and reasonable access to the work area. This includes ensuring gates are unlocked, vehicles are moved where they would obstruct access or working space, and that we are advised of any underground services (water, gas, electrical, irrigation) or obstructions before work commences.
If site conditions at the time of work are materially different from those present during the site inspection (for example, recent construction, new fencing, or changed access), we reserve the right to review the quoted price before proceeding. We will advise you of any changes before starting work.
Tree work carries inherent risk. Our arborists assess and manage risk as part of every job, but certain outcomes — such as minor incidental damage to lawns from wood chip or falling debris in an expected drop zone — are accepted as part of the tree removal process.
7. Waste and Site Cleanup
Our standard service includes removal of all tree debris — branches, foliage, and trunk sections — from your Dubbo property, unless otherwise specified in the quote. Stumps are quoted separately. The site will be cleaned of loose debris and left in a tidy condition. Grinding dust from stump grinding is typically spread across the stump area.
If you wish to retain firewood, timber sections, or wood chip, please advise us before or at the time of the job. We will accommodate this where practical and it may reduce disposal costs.
8. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger projects, staged payments may be arranged at the time of quoting. We accept payment by bank transfer, cash, or card. Overdue accounts may be subject to interest at 2% per month.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel a booked job by contacting us at least 24 hours before the scheduled date. Cancellations within 24 hours of a confirmed job date may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover crew and equipment allocation costs.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with NSW dispute resolution processes. Dubbo Tree Services is committed to fair dealing and will make every effort to resolve disputes directly with our Dubbo and Orana clients before any formal process is initiated.
